Forum fixation

We have just finished fixing all the known bugs with the forums. Some of them won't really affect people although some of them like getting users and posts stats the wrong way round were just silly ;). They are all fixed now though so everything in theory should run perfectly....

Game information page added

There is a new page on each of the games pages. As a side note before I start to rammle, we now have a game which has a page on more than one platform - GTA: Vice City being the game.

The top links you to the year, genre and platform. It will also tell you if the game is available on other platforms and if it is, it will link you to a list of the different platforms the game is on.

The second section (for PC only generally) is a system requirements box. The third section is a rankings box giving you the popularity ranking for the game but this week and all-time.

The forth box lists the titles that the game is also known as, common mis-sellings and so on. Finally the fifth box gives details on what we have in our database about the game. Cool hu?...

Digging into the forums

The hard part of rebuilding Gamer Forge for version 2 was always going to be the forums. Running a custom forum script it was just so big. But were are slowing chomping away at it.

Most of the display stuff (well all of it actually) is done, the only bits we need to do now are the interactive bits like posting and moderatoring. Speaking for the whole team, I can't wait to get it done!...
